I guess I need to get more specific. I guess I have the transfer I should have by having the rear skid, front shock set stiff and the back one set weak. My question is.....what exactly does the adjustment on the front shocks do? Is it for transfer? Is it for rider weight? Is it for tippyness...

Coolant shut-off to the carbs and make SURE the carb float-bowl updates are done on it from '03. Do a search on here for "float bowl updates" and read all about it!

Wouldn't rev up at all if it was TORS! I would start at the carb needles. If it is running good up to 6K, I would look at the needles, main jets, check float levels and sync them. What altitude was it at when you bought it and where is it at now? Make sure you have o-rings and washers w/ every...
This is a great question. I fought with mine last month and finally just pulled the brand new handguards off. Pain in the A**! If you come up with anything let me know!
