when we raise the belly pan with the lift about 4 inches, then the rear suspension works fine when pushing down on the bumper. otherwise the action is wrong. we also 1/4 inch off the coupler blocks. we moved the front torque arm to the bottom rail hole - did not make a difference...
limiter strap
Thanks guys for the replies and ideas. Latest is I pulled the rear shock out and now it seems to measure the same as my brothers eye to eye.
I think we are now focused on the coupler blocks.
I have front limiter at 4th position. The sled is on the stand off the ground when...
Measurement
Could someone do me a huge favor and measure from the bottom of the top cross shaft on the rear torque arm straight down to the top of the high fax? Measure right behind the wheel.
Is it 10.5 inches? track should be off the ground when measuring.
thanks, rg
thanks - we did some measuring and compared to my brothers rear shock, mine is an inch shorter for some reason.... we're going to swap the shocks and see. not sure why center eye to eye the shocks are different. we are thinking that would affect the angle?
Hi guys, I have an 03 Rx-1 121 and installed a metric m10 bolted in per TY instructions. Shock were rebuilt before putting it in. Everything inspected, AOK. So before riding i checked the action on the skid and it seemed ok. Rear slider blocks were moving as they should; was unable to bottom...
Shoo Goo
I use shoe goo (avail at menards) on the smaller ones. Seems to hold up pretty well. You have them in a tough spot there on the edges. Possibly unstaple and sew a patch of vinyl in?
Looks like the tunnel is 17 inches across in the front and 17.25 inches in the rear. metric m10 is rear is 16.25 and front is 16. Ideas on how to make up the gap? without buying the kit from fast?
thanks!

2003
I was in the same boat. I owned an edge 700 polaris which ripped but i wanted to try a 4 stroke. I bought an 03 and did quite a but of stuff to it. Simmons skis, pro x rear skid, more foam in seat, newer front shocks and thicker sway bar. All of this really didn't cost too much because...
hex head replacement
anyone have what they use to replace those silly phillips screws that strip out? they are kind of weird with that shoulder on them. thanks
Lowered front bolt hole 1 inch
And there is a noticeable difference. Less sag. Much smoother action to the skid. I loosened the front shock spring a bit and tightened the limiters a bit too. I think its dialed in now. Definitely if you are mounting the pro x, put that front bolt hold at...
Has anyone taken an older Metric M10 and replaced the rails with the newer Polaris style? It appears that the only difference is the rear arm pivot in the rail. Are the rails cut different than the Team Fast rails in the rear or can the metric be swapped in? I think the Polaris uses a 4 bolt...
Guys i feel like an arse. I was looking at the front steel hard wear pads. Not the carbide itself. they are fine, not down to the steel at all. I will still check the front spring preload and let you know. Put about notoher 20 miles on today. fileed up last night. 14.76 mpg. Not bad!
Results - Front carbide wear question
Ok guys so I finally got a chance to try it out. I put about 120 miles on it so far. I really like the ride of it. The front end does seem a little heavy and the steering a little hard. But no darting at all. A really solid feel and predictable...
WINNER WINNER CHICKEN DINNER!
Ok, so i went 2.5 turns out on the pilots. runs great now. I actually have engine braking now! idles sweet at 1500. I was ready to fly that thing back to tokyo. whoo hoooO! thanks for all your help guys. I am still debating on the carb synch tool. I know I...
