this may or may not help, but ive had the same problem and simply rotated the throttle up so that my hand was not bent backwards, it worked instantly

i know this is the wrong place, but this end gets more attention, im trying to fix my sons 1994 vmax, the jack shaft is the 2 peice and its worn out at the connecting splines. my ? is do any of you know if you can use another year of jack shaft that is the correct lenght and correct splines...
