Has any one tried the Hygear Suspension- Dual pressure system for the Fox Float shocks?? Would like to no how much difference they make. Looks like you can get them for front Fox 289.99 and for the rear shock. Allows one to dial in compression and rebound with a larger smooth zone.
Hi Xrx1 dude, I also consider the 2018 Apex as the best most advanced sled ever made by man. Yes Yamaha did solve all the small problems of the 1st gen Apex with the addition of the second gen (2011 to 2018). I have a 2013 just turned 20,000 miles never have had any stator problems and I put new...
Dupont totally worth it, on my second set over 16,000 miles or 26,000 km, track wore out before the sliders last year on 2013 Apex, put new ones on still have the old ones for back up. but are close to worn out.
Mine is a 2013 Apex SE and has a count-up odometer when the fuel light comes on, the most I have seen is 33 miles with the light on, this week end my light came on went 11 miles and put in 7.9 us gallons so still would have 1.3 us gallons left before totally empty.
I have a 13 129 which I put a pre- studded ice ripper on last year and had to pull out a row that was trying to chew up the power valve end cap ( left side of the power valve housing). Wouldn't go much over a 1/4" past the lug and leave that area about 3" in on the left side clear of stud's...
Hi Shanks RX-1 I do around 3000 miles a year over 16 K on my Apex first swap was to shapers it was a nice upgrade, then went to Triple points this was even a better upgrade went to duels same experience as you described now on my 3rd season with aggressive snow-trackers and will never go back...
Hi Steve, sounds like the last guy had a very high engagement primary spring, get the Yamaha Pink-Blue-Pink has engagement of 20 and shift out of 119 this could very well be the same as Barn of Parts soft engagement spring. Change the spring out and see how the sled performs, this may be all...
70 miles from completing a 4 day 700 mile trip and the donuts went on the 2013 Apex as the ODO rolled through 14,000 miles. Man does it ever sound awful kinda like a 1100 Cat without the turbo.
I also had a problem with a very slow engagement when going from reverse to forward, some times had to blip throttle and it would engage with a noise, kept doing very small adjustments but couldn't get it perfect, so ended up taking chain case apart and putting in a new reverse spring (the big...
Double on the best advice from biffdotorg. I also have a beautiful like brand new SRX with 27,000 KM on it that I was in love with, in 2014 I bought a new 2013 APEX and I just don't have the desire to throw a leg over the SRX seat an more sad to say. I mostly trail ride and the Apex is the best...
It seems strange that you are not getting any known codes, I would take terminal wires off your battery and then reconnect. Like doing a reboot for your codes. then see if you can get a code by taking off the oil plug or air box plug. Other then that it does sound like water in your gas.
my little trick is: set the parking brake put a long handle ratchet on the lower of the 3 helix bolts and gentle pull on the ratchet handle clock wise with right hand at the same time as pushing on the back side of the clutch with the left hand, when the clutch is opened hold with the left hand...
I would confirm fuel pump at the top of the tank, unplug the fuel line at the tank top and put a plastic tube on the pump fitting that will allow fuel to go into a container, turn on the key and verify fuel is getting pumped out of the tank. If not you need a new pump. Happened to me when I...
Not racing anymore as well, my best trail set up is silver secondary with 70 twist and the secret yammy primary spring P/B/P part number 90501-600A1. This spring is hard to find listed and has a preload of 20/TF of 119 so makes slow maneuvering awesome Another good spring is the W-P-W a little...
One trick I use when changing sliders is to spray a corrosion lube or WD40 down both sides of each slider let it sit for a 1 or 2 hr then tape the front far enough to get a hand grab on the back and they pull off. Just changed to my second set of dupont and I had 12,000 miles on the last pair...
I will double Stubbies comment. Had the triple points was very impressed over stock, tried the yamaha tuners, just went to the aggressive snow trackers end of last year and will never go to any thing else. I do 3 to 5K every winter. What I have learned from ST is they make steering easier even...
