I just sold my 2007 attak gt with 16 k that I have owned since new . I consider it my all time favorite. Mr reliable was its name. I now have the opportunity of purchasing what I consider to be the holy grail of Apex's the 2018 50th anniversary XTX . Supposedly in mint condition and meticulously maintained with 7k on the odometer. Whats a fair price? Also isn't this about the milage its going to need a stator ? And did the exhaust hold up better on the later Apex's.
Thank you

Hi Xrx1 dude, I also consider the 2018 Apex as the best most advanced sled ever made by man. Yes Yamaha did solve all the small problems of the 1st gen Apex with the addition of the second gen (2011 to 2018). I have a 2013 just turned 20,000 miles never have had any stator problems and I put new donuts in at 16,000 just because I felt it would be preventative maintenance. I have had to adjust the power valves 3 times but the last 3 years they were bang on no adjustment required. Let me know if you are not going to buy, as I will. I would ask him what he paid and offer 1/2 as a starting point. In Canada I think they went for around 18,000 cnd dollars approximately give or take a little. Not sure what the US price was. Good luck keep me posted.

Exactly, the Later Apexes are still more Advanced then what Yamaha is offering now, other than the rear suspension which still rides pretty darn good for most part, the build quality and reliability is unmatched to this day, Holy Grail is right!Hi Xrx1 dude, I also consider the 2018 Apex as the best most advanced sled ever made by man. If you consider this to be the holy grail of snowmobiles I guess if it was me I would snatch it up. The price really shouldn't matter pay the man if that's what your looking for. There wasn't a lot of 17 & 18 Apexs sold you should take full advantage of the situation.

So I’m pretty sure we have a deal unless something weird happens.

Looking like I will be picking it up in the next 2 weeks. Pictures show it to be near perfect. The owner knows what he has. It’s not cheap but it is worth it in my opinion. On the 3 Apexes I’ve owned 03,07,&09 I always pulled off the secondary clutch and Speedo housing to pop off the bearing seals and clean and repack the bearings every season. Same setup on this 18?

Yep every thing is pretty much the same not a lot of changes in the 12 year run of the Apex. I'm still kicking around the idea of buying back my 2008 anniversary addition that I bought new and sold to my buddy it's only got 4000 miles on it don't really need it and probably won't ride it much but it would be kinda cool to get it back.

There has been a few changes to the Apex sense 2007 for 2018, Performance dampening system, reactive front shock system, single shot rear suspension with upgraded shock, Exup system, they did a remake of the engine in 2015-2016, power steering, not sure if your 2018 has the 1 3/4 lug back country track or just the 1 1/4 track, the seat riding position is a cross between rider forward and tradition seating, also abit more power in the engine, nice sled!!

Buy it, price is irrelevant, they are no longer made and they ended production with a top notch sled. Anyone that has one and if kept up top notch with decent miles the price is going to go up like like a classic car.I just sold my 2007 attak gt with 16 k that I have owned since new . Yes that's right, also a 146 " skid for the XTX, and I do like the hand and thumb warmers on mine, they do have the tuner 3 ski but I got rid of them and went with the deeper keel and wider VK PRO ski with snow trackers, works very well and better ski for reversing, cold weather relay update, also I think the exhaust is stainless now not the titanium that was prone to cracking, the Apex maybe a 12 year run but for 2018 its just about bullet proof and the most high tech over engineered sled out there, if you want miles and smiles of reliability, Xrx1dude its money well spent, please post some pics when you get her, thanksI must add, greaseable front A arms, electric shield plug in on handlebars.

Since this an 18 Apex XTX, it definitely has the 1.75" lug Back Country track as Yamaha did not offer the XTX in a 1.25" track like they did in prior years. I ended up replacing the Back Country with a 1.25" Ripsaw II track but that track has since been replaced with an Ice Storm 150.
