Hey guys, my 2006 Apex will not start, it doesn't even try.....When it last started, it ran for about 10 seconds, then just quit. Battery is good, just finished changing the plugs and the plugs were not fowled, running out of ideas....fuel pump engages when the key is turned on.....changed out the relays (by the left foot)…...help!!
Does it crank over or just click??

Yeah, we got her going, we suspect there was a gas line blocked....ice maybe, but after putting gas in the intake and plenty of whirling.....she finally fired up!!!Does it crank over or just click??

If let set with little gas in the tank it probably got some water in the fuel

Soooo, back to the drawing board.....same thing, sled won't start......Here is what I know, spray fuel in the intakes and it will start after lots of whirling.....so the plugs are firing, but no fuel to the plugs......The other thing I know is the fuel pump is engaging and powers up......so it's somewhere between the fuel pump and plugs.....any ideas??
Full bottle of gas line antifreeze mixed into a full tank of fuel after the first time it didn't start!! While I was out getting fuel, I stopped for about an hour and when starting again, it took many whirls before she fired up......it's like it looses fuel pressure over time to a point it will not start

Go in self diagnostics and see what reading u r getting from the temp sensor.Soooo, back to the drawing board.....same thing, sled won't start......Here is what I know, spray fuel in the intakes and it will start after lots of whirling.....so the plugs are firing, but no fuel to the plugs......The other thing I know is the fuel pump is engaging and powers up......so it's somewhere between the fuel pump and plugs.....any ideas??

I would confirm fuel pump at the top of the tank, unplug the fuel line at the tank top and put a plastic tube on the pump fitting that will allow fuel to go into a container, turn on the key and verify fuel is getting pumped out of the tank. If not you need a new pump. Happened to me when I stored sled for a summer with empty tank.

A few lads think it is the fuel pressure regulator.....if it was the regulator, is this how it would go?? How can I check if it is the regulator before buying a new one.....

Good idea, that will eliminate the fuel pump....I would confirm fuel pump at the top of the tank, unplug the fuel line at the tank top and put a plastic tube on the pump fitting that will allow fuel to go into a container, turn on the key and verify fuel is getting pumped out of the tank. Update - fuel pump is working, unhooked the line at the check valve and turned key.....fuel was pumped out......also took the check value out and tested it to work. The one more time, I put more fuel in the intakes and whirled away.....nothing!!!! Rechecked the plugs and noticed NO FIRE on any of time so it's not a fuel issue it's a firing issue!!! Any idea's why my plugs are not firing???

Just went through the same thing. It’s likely fouled plugs. Just try a new plug and see if it fires. Old gas tends to do this. Sled starts, then quits and plugs are wet. We took a brand new plug and tried it in all 4 coils or plug caps to see that all coils were working. Then tried all 4 plugs to make sure they were all working. Sled fired right up and has been good since.

If no plugs are firing the only other thing I can think of is stator.

I assume you used BRAND NEW spark plugs.
If you go to diagnostic mode 30 you can test for spark through the machine with the grip warmer switch.
It is not uncommon for the pickup coil to fail, but a code 12 should be showing.

Can't check pickup coil with diagnostics. However, if it has failed the sled should show a code 12.Yup, new plugs....and the old ones were burning perfect......we are thinking the pickup coil.....but how do I check regarding diagnostic mode/codes??
To test pickup coil , unplug gray and black wire that come from the stator. Use a multimeter set on ohms and spec is 445-545
