All good points. Don't get me wrong my sled is running fantastic but I don't have anything to gauge it against cause I haven't ridden anything else in a long time. I have invested a lot of time and $$ into this sled. I have it right where I want it. Its really fast and smooth love the engine...
The fit and finish, attention to detail, accessories are so much better. They look and feel much more modern. Where I ride in northern VT there is a doo dealer local also in the event of needing something where as no yamaha or cat dealer around.
Maybe its the moon cycle or something but I am thinking about ordering a new spring order doo. The fit-finish and accessories are so much better. Plus buy it dont f*ck with everything and go. Thoughts? If there is a new chassy from Yamacat something fresh I would entertain that too.
Thanks
Its most noticed around 35mph, especially when decelerating its bad. The weird thing is its ok until you ride for a while and the drone increases a lot.
Hi
I have a TD stock modded muffler and after a while the droning get substantially louder. Perhaps something else is causing this. Has anyone experienced this?
Here is my initial (temp) CAI-RAM to reduce sucking air from under hood. I have a complete redesign in the work and will be drawing air from an entirely different location, which will open up venting to the clutches from the front. Only cost me 3$ and should help I hope.
Interesting on the lock-nuts. When I was putting mine back together I noticed they felt weal putting them on and replaced with new ones. Thanks for the heads up Steve that sucks.
Alpineviper,
People are here to learn, improve and make this a more enjoyable sled for all to benefit. I don't know KnappAttack or Clutchmaster but their knowledge and experience are something we are lucky they share with us,they have forgotten more than you will ever know. Instead of taking...
It helps if you add additional air and seal off the area where the filter is from its surroundings. It needs to draw air from outside and not heated dirty air from under the hood.
