XS is working great on my sled. dropped about 500 rpm when new. With some miles some of the revs come back. Maybe 200 or so loss! Not a speck of dust on my white panels!
The XS belt is still doing great. Very consistent clutching with the stock weights and Powertrail. Put another 80 miles on it yesterday . I did find a place to finally run it up to 120 on the speedo before letting off . Pulls nice up top. Boost was 15.7 to 15.9 on the meter. Stock BOV seems to...
These sleds have a sender and a switch. I got a sd30 which is low oil pressure. It shut the engine down. Really freaked me out. My dealer replaced both the sender and switch just to be sure. If you are still have a warranty let the dealer diagnose it. The switch is cheap but the sender is like...
I use the orange TP primary and secondary spring. The TP primary spring is pretty stout on rate and finish. I saw somewhere it is like 30/145 kg which gives a nice low smooth engagement of 2700. The TP secondary spring is stout also but pretty close to others when wrapped at 40. To lower your...
I would bet you would be at over 9k with MS 16 being it is 10-20 more than Powertrail’s supposed 250. If you went to a lower rate spring than the stiff orange TP I use it would probably work.
I pulled my bar last year for a ride and hated it. Handled like crap but did hook up better. At 250 dressed I think I need the coupling. Maybe for you lighter guys it will be good.
Just got home from a 2 day ride in Old Forge . Ran my sled stock and loaded Powertrail SM also. Last year my stock sled would run consistently about 8800 rpms in most conditions with the 8jp . Very smooth with great belt wear and no belt breaks in over 1500 miles but pretty dirty. My clutching...
Ask them at TD. They will get you close. Unfortunately I am the guy who loves to f with clutching on almost every sled I have ever owned. I will make stock flyweights work and then compare them to the daltons which seem to be a little more aggressive down low which may be better for the heavily...
Powertrail or 240 Sm tunes are the way to go. Put on that sticky XS 825 belt you could use stock clutching. My bud uses stock weights with Powertrail SM ,TP Orange spring in secondary, BSB Yamaha spring in the front , and a 35/39 helix with the XS belt. The sled is remarkably smooth with a nice...
Snow sucks up here in upstate NY also. At least 5 more days before some colder weather hits. I am wearing the paint off my sled from waxing it! All of my riding buds including me are on suicide watch!
