Front shocks are Floats so I can increase the PSI which should raise the front of the sled up a little higher. With the sway bar it should help with running more PSI with less ski lift and body roll. Not sure if this will make turning easier or not. Guessing maybe it's possible since the sled...
also to do the swaybar swap you have to jack the front sled up a little until the skiis are off the floor. You may need another set of hands atleast I did for part of it. Once I slid the new sway bar in you then put the stock plastic pushings on it that were on the old bar. PRoblem for me was...
I did notice that the 3 pieces that slide into the fixed sheave looks kindof grimy and a little rough. I did clean them the best I could and it seamed to help the secondary close a little better but I know I could do a much better job if I take it apart.
I know some about the clutch due to...
So most topics are riders trying to get rid of push when turning and now I have the opposite issue. Since last year I've added curve skis with 6 inch carbides and a 13 mm sway bar. Sleds extremely flat which is awesome and turns extremely well with no push at all but now when I turn it's so hard...
I did notice some yellowish crud on the surface on the secondary where the 2 sheaves slide over eachother and also looks rough. I tried to get it off by cleaning it and I did get a lot off but maybe I need to do it again and do a better job. Maybe this is the reason for it.
I did notice...
about 1,090 miles on the sled. This is the origonal belt and it's still in spec. I did buy a new yami belt but it squeels a lot.
I noticed the noise when letting off the throttle quick but if I slowly decellerate it doesn't make any sounds and sled feels great. Also Im on a slight incline...
Today I went for my first real ride and sometimes when I let off the gas the belt sounds like a chipmunk. Before the ride I have been having problems with the belt squeeling and make some small adjustments and that went away but now it sounds like a chipmunk laughing when I let off. Does this...
I had the same problem with my RS Nytro. At first I thought I really messed it up when it shut down. So I unhooked the carbtuner and put the hoses to sled back and with a little choke it fired right up then I realized it was just running out of gas. It took me 2 days to sync mine but that's...
Sounds good. I may invest in these also next season. I have been debating if I should stud or not. I want to but I hear a lot about studs ripping out and also causing other damage to the sled plus bending. This is what makes me hesitant.
Curious what dealers are charging for labor to do this? I do like my RS Nytro a lot and plan on getting another newer sled probably a FX Nytro but I will be keeping my current sled for the life of the sled. I'll be using it as a guest sled so I'll probably end up getting this tentioner fixed to...

You have to upload your image file to a website first before you try and post. I think this is why it's not working with your pictures. Then post the image link like you have been and it should show up. photobucket is a free webhosting site you can use.

a previous member was looking for just the button piece also and believe he contacted Kevin from portyamaha and he also mentioned the part number. You can pm portyamaha on this site and or see if you can find the previous members post.
I'm curious also and having the same issues as you but I think its just bad gas.
I've been the only owner of my sled and always took great care for it and this year I didn't start it up during the off season as much as I have in the past and noticed more plugged jets. Every time I clean them...
I have it installed and took it around the yard a few times but not enough for a review just yet. Need more snow where I live still. I did notice a different with the sled running on a stand, so I'm anxious to try it out. Sled seamed to shift much quicker than before.
I'm currently having...
I'm guessing 1 or a few of your pilot jets are plugged and especially if they have never been cleaned.
I ran my sled for 3 years withought cleaning them nd noticed each year the sled seamed to have more of a sputter to it. It doesnt sound as bad as you describe with yours but it was enough...
The other day I noticed this also and also on the inside of the sheaves at the very bottom where they slide over each other. It looks rough.
Is this normal and should I gently sand it? When I was changing my belt every now and then because of the rough surface there were times that once the...
4 strokes have engine breaking and that's what you're hearing when you let go of the throttle. I rarely ever have to use my break on my RS Nytro because I use the engine breaking to my advantage. When I do use the break it's to let guys behind me know I'm stopping or to warm them to slow down...
also when you took the old oil filter off did you get the black rubber ring with it? it tends to stick to the engine. Not sure if it would have anything to do with it starting or not.
You can also try putting gas into the 2 small hoses that's on the bottom of the carbs. Just take the airbox...
My sled did a few times but it was so feint that it was barely noticable and it went right away. The idle is a little off and I'm almost positive its just the carbs out of sync and I have a carb sync tool on its way. I'm going to check things out more tonight and take it around the yard now that...
