I haven't painted rails, but I have tried painting other parts in my skid (brackets, cross arms etc.) with poor results. They seem to get chipped very easily from gravel and other debris. I don't think I would try the rails, but that is just me. If you do, please report back what you used...

I am using powermadd riser and pivot setup on my 06 RS Nytro, and they have not moved on me yet, even with my 300lbs tugging on them. I have had other risers in the past that have moved and it is a PITA

you could go with a seat off of a apex/attak or a rs nytro...then add a set of handlebar risers...many posts on here on that subject

my local dealer said they it would be covered (out of warranty), but then he ran my VIN# and it is a U.S. origin sled, and Yamaha Canada will not cover it. Called 2 U.S. dealers that are close to me and both said they will fix it but at a cost of about $700 :o|

My dealer said I had to cover it. I was not aware that yamaha repaired tech. bulletins, thought they only covered recalls after warranty. If anyone else has insight on this please let me (us) know.

is the tensioner straight forward to replace. My dealer quoted me $200 cdn for parts and approx. $500 labour. Just wondering if I can save $500 and do it myself. Yes my sled it out of warranty with 6000km on it.

I bought it with 1000mi on it so no way of telling how it was broke in. I will keep an eye on it to see if it gets worse or if i'm just worrying for no reason. Any other opinions still welcome.
