You get what you pay for,or at least that's what I was thinking after I looked at them a Lake Geneva yesterday. They look cool but chassis durability is going to be very questionable. $11200 for a limited turbo shorty here.
I would get a new stator if you haven't replaced it already. A stator is about the only thing that has commonly went bad with milage that would leave you stranded. New stators cost $238 (sports plaza). The rest of the stuff are wear items that you can replace as you go.
Ive been tring to iron out a engine miss or hiccup when the throttle is stabbed. I have tried a Dolbeck, and pc5 with autotune and can't seem to get rid of the stumble. I have a full exhaust and no matter stock or mod ign it does the same thing.
I've been testing with viperguy, and he has a 08 apex with pc3, ign box ,ullmer clutch kit,air box mod. Top end is real close, but he's pulling me through midrange. If I loose the airbox and get a clutch kit it's going to be interesting.
I've been running the Aaen header for the last 2 years and with 6400 mi I haven't had any issues with it. I did replace the original doughnuts at 4000mi with some cometic ones ,which seem to be holding up better. It does perform better than stock and my sled wth a fuel controller, and stock...
I may be riding next weekend, but as of now i don't believe they have good snow conditions. If you drive towards Witttenburg, and Wausaw it's much better there.
Dirk, I have both the apex and a nytro xtx, and the xtx properly set up will run circles around the apex when woods banging. I would be willing to bet $100 on it. The xtx will require more body english, but will stick to the corners where the apex will not. The nytro took a little time to set up...
Don't run it until you drain the engine and gear oil. Pull the spark plugs and the check the air box for water, before you try to turn the engine over. More than likely you blew a fuse when you tried to start it. Move the sled in a garage and put a dehumidafier and a fan blowing on the sled...
Well Ski-Doo didn't come with much this year,Polaris blew their wad last year, now Cat has all new in 2012 so, if you have to have something different next year go Cat I guess, but remember you get Cat first year quality with that.
