K&N Air filter question

I would do the whole package only as everything works together well. Single components are not going to be near as effective IMHO.

Nikolai Would you consider it worth it all in all?

Considering how bad the lean pop increased, that tells me there was a definite power gain. If I held the throttle down, the sled would continually miss/pop until I let off the throttle. It was doing it before the filter install(from my exhaust), the filters just made it a lot worse. Put a PC5 on and it was night and day.

I'd say it was worth the money once I added the PC5 and got all it's potential. IMO, I think it just depends on the sled. Some seem to pop worse than others, a few people have ran the K&N kits with no programmer and not had any issues.

I have a issue with popping, its at 5-30% throttle. I have a PCV with Ulmers map, I just plugged my laptop in to see if the map was still programed and all seemed ok. I have never had filters on so I dont know if this is common or if its still running lean and needs more fuel. If its not a common noise I may need to just go to a AutoTune and be done with it.

My setup works as designed...Follow the instructions and use the Map from Ulmer and it's perfect...IMO

berge75 mine has never had this issue. I don't run any type of fuel programmer either. I have the stock muffler with the Excell header.

I have always experienced the slight skip upon stabbing the throttle, it has always done this with or without PC3 with an occasional pop sound...

Seems to be present with a aftermarket can. Not so much with other mods. Put stock muffler back on and it wasnt noticable.
