It is the stock muffler. It was never used as it was taken off when they put the Turbo on. The MPI kit came with its own muffler. Just trying to help out a fellow sledder. Hopefully Yamaha will take care of you or at least give you a break on the price.
I have a 16.5 with an MPI turbo. I put 6000km on the original rods without any issues. They were changed to the updated rods. at 8800km this happened. Yamaha Canada eventually decided that it was not a turbo issue and replaced the motor with a 2019 spec Viper motor. 2000KM into the new motor all...
I have an MPI Turbo so I did not use the stock muffler at all. I would sell it for a LOT less than that if you are in a bind. That is an insane price for a muffler. I would buy an aftermarket one before I ever paid that.
I will be there Friday for sure. I believe. I will come from my place and meet you at the hotel. Look forward to seeing you guys again. I just found out I have a fundraiser for Patti's daughters Grad Thursday night.
As its Valentines day today, I will do this for my..... continued well...
I agree with Upton44. I have two Vipers and the other day at -36C one started while mine backfired and did not. I threw a tender on it and in an hour it fired up without much issue. I think that if the battery is not fully topped up then it does not spin the motor fast enough to ignite the less...
You can get an adapter plug for the visor from either Yamaha or Cat. I got mine from a Polaris dealer and it was in a GMax bag so they make one as well. It was $12. It goes from the two prong trailer wire to RCA plug.
I have a 2016 XTX with the MPI turbo. I run the Ulmer clutch kit as recommended by Allen. I run an 8DN, MPI quiet muffler and no other updates to power except an external Cold Air Intake. My top speed on GPS was 107MPH. It was -28C at the time. There may have been a bit more in it, but I thought...
I understand that. However if they only charged an hour then you should be able to do it in two I would think. Ergo, it cant be that tough for an average wrencher. Good luck. You will have to remove the hood (6 screws). Two under the front, two by the top A arm and two by the top under the side...
Mr Sled knows his stuff so check those first. Welcome to the site. You will find all your answers here and lots of help is you are willing to do some reading.
Here in Manitoba I use a Montana 680. I have all of our trails, Ontario trails, Saskatchewan and North Dakota trails as people have made maps and posted them. It is VERY nice to be able to see how far than next intersection or how far from gas you are when you have not been somewhere before...
