    2019 SideWinder Rear Wheel Kit

Purchased two 2019 SideWinder XTX LEs this year and we're going to do a full rear wheel kit before the snow starts flying (among some other minor upgrades). Does anyone have the part numbers to the new full rear wheel kit being offered by Yamaha and Arctic Cat on the 137 models? I would like to...

Today is the last day to get an SRX LE!!

From what I understand from a Yamaha rep, it's more like a 240 HP tune. He has yet to be wrong, so even though is 30 HP down from what you're saying, it's still A LOT. I didn't order an SRX due to the price (or the track, to be honest), but it looks like an amazing machine.

    Ice Scratcher Problems

The spring ones have the challenge of reverse. If you back up without putting them away, you'll bend them. I've never seen any problems with the cables. That being said, the Apex in question is the only machine we ride with that has the scratchers (even before he installed a 1.6 Cobra track). I...

    Aluminum Charge Tubes

Most of the Sidewinders in our riding area have seen high mileage on belts (5,000+ miles). I'm not too worried about those. I just blew an 8DN belt in 100 miles on my stock Viper and the 8JPs lasted about 4,000 miles each (the first belt lasted until about 5,500 miles and I towed another sled...

    Aluminum Charge Tubes

Please explain? You lost me when you mentioned the "one connection on each hose end". Thanks!

    Aluminum Charge Tubes

Has anyone ridden with aluminum charge tubes like the ones available from Excell? Looking to add a couple "hot rod" parts to my sled so it's a little different than my father's (who ordered the same snowmobile). Looking to see if this is a worthwhile venture and actually is worth the $240?

    Ice Scratcher Problems

A guy riding in our group has a 2015 Apex 128 with ice scratchers installed on the skid rails. Dealer installed them during the 2017 season when we were running on low snow (I'm honestly not sure the manufacturer). We found that even with the scratchers tucked away in the "storage mounts", they...

2019 Sidewinder X-TX LE Spring Orders

They both have the same shock package and rear skid. Physically, the only difference is the mountain front end, the skis, and the track (plus little nuisance items here and there like the seat). As far as the 1.6 Cobra, I was extremely disappointed by it for the entire life of my Viper. It...

2019 Sidewinder X-TX LE Spring Orders

Took a Ski-Doo 850 E-TEC out for a ride and I was not impressed. I expected much more out of the 160+ HP engine and G4 chassis. Definitely turned me off as I felt no noticeable improvement over my stock Viper. A month later, I took a ride on a Sidewinder and I was absolutely blown away. I can...

Oil Tank Update - From 2014 to 2015+

Going to be changing out the oil tank this year while doing a track swap (thanks to all of you who commented. It definitely made the process seem much less daunting). Would like to know if there is a list of parts Yamaha released with the 2015+ oil tank update bulletin? The Yamaha Parts website...

How difficult is it to change out the track?

One of the sleds in our group is a Apex 128" who was used to running a Ripsaw 1.25 since the days of the RX-1. When the snow would get soft or greater than 6 inches, it was a struggle. He put the 1.6 Ice Cobra on this year and it's made the sled a much better machine. Better hook-up overall and...

How difficult is it to change out the track?

Got off the phone with the dealer earlier today. Going to save my money and buy the Backcountry for this summer (total cost with shipping is only $640). That'll help substantiate spending $500+ on an Evo flash, buying a clutch kit and other components, a couple new belts, a new windshield...

How difficult is it to change out the track?

The sled is at the dealer for the warranty work (we leave the snowmobiles in Maine for the winter, so they're completing the warranty work so I can get one last ride for the season. While I'm in the area, does it make sense to change out the oil tank to the 2015+ design with the dipstick instead...

How difficult is it to change out the track?

Sled just hit 9,000 miles this past weekend and a while myriad of problems occurred. First, I blew out the muffler, resulting in a trashed side panel, belly pan, and oil lines. It looks like the two rivets on the left side of the muffler and the rivet in the center failed, resulting in a loose...

    Fox QS-3 Shocks

Was looking at a couple of new sleds sitting in the showroom and noticed the long track (XTX, MTX, etc.) had the gray QS-3 shocks at all three corners (front two track shocks and one in the rear). Liking the new 2019 SideWinder XTX SE and that shock package is everything I need. Does anyone know...

So. Whats in those backpacks that everyone is wearing?

I purchased mine for a trip from Maine to Canada to hold a change of clothes and toiletries. I am generally the one to get stuck so I purchased a shovel along with it. Found that I liked riding with it (kept my body warmer) and I always had a shovel on hand just in case. When we're not riding to...

    Exhaust Recommendations

I cannot, for the life of me, find that certification on the stock Apex (2006 - Present) exhaust. Granted, I'm looking at internet pictures, but still. It was so prominent on the Viper. Would make sense that it would stand out on everything else.

    Exhaust Recommendations

Quieter than naturally aspirated, yes. But legal in Maine? No (as far as I can tell)! I may be wrong on this one.
