Looking at the three options 1.0, 2.0 and 3.0. I'm thinking for snowmobiling 3.0 is the way to go. Anyone use these and have feedback on quality, warmth, etc.?
Well like everything else trailers are going crazy. If you are looking for a new one for next year don't wait too long!
I just put a deposit on a 8x12 hybrid for delivery Sept- Dec'ish. They don't even know the exact price yet because materials like steel, aluminum wood are so volatile...
Going on second season for my Titan Helmet. Changed jacket this year and find the CKX Titan Balaclava lets a draft in now because it's too short.. oh and it's super tight. Wondering what others had success with?
I still want to keep an open nose/mouth so I've narrowed it down to a CKX...
Not good news. Northern Ontario 2 weeks, the rest of the province 4 weeks. OFSC won't be grooming trails in Grey (Lock Down) zones.
Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs has a plan as sledding season and record Covid-19 cases collide...
For the Canadian members - I was on CT's website today and they have Castle X product available for online order only. Seem to have inventory on some stuff and not on others. Is this new? I don't recall them being available before. I wonder if they will actually bring product into the stores.
Just a funny little anecdote. I was at Royal picking up a new set of pants when I started talking to a FXR rep about sleds and Covid and business. At one point he mentioned that the '21 Skidoo's are being shipped out to dealers without batteries because of Covid related shortages. Anyone...

Went out for final 300km rip today. Cruising through the twistiies doing maybe 40mph and all of a sudden - nothing! Thought it was a belt at first. Shut it down quick. Nope. Took panel off and oil all over the belly pan with large chunks of metal.
My guess is it blew a rod right through the...
In the off season I added iGrip studs to the lugs on my 129 Ripsaw 2 1.25 track. Would have been great but then I added the Hurricane 190 kit. Now I have a traction problem. Hoping to get some advice on studs.

I've been playing around fine tuning my fuel map and ran into an interesting issue I hadn't seen documented anywhere. Hopefully this helps someone down the road.
I was working on the WOT AFR target which I had set at 10.5 and I noticed Autotune wasn't creating any trims in the 80%-100% TPS...
I have an Autotune and POD300 to install shortly. Currently been trying to create a fuel map based on TPS by trial and error just using AFR/Boost gauges. Things have been progressing really well and sled is running great. Always room for improvement though and half the fun is trying and...
Ok. Gettin old (lol) and hands are getting colder than they used to. I've also realized its' 2020 dammit! I don't need to get cold anymore! Looking at heated gloves. FXR Recon seem to be the ones most readily available to me.
Before I bite the bullet - cause they ain't cheap --...
Wondering what would people suggest for AFR coming hard off the throttle to o% TPS?
Currently seeing 12.0 but I think this might be a bit rich. Thinking 13. 14 would likely create some unwanted backfires.
Hurricane 190 kit installed.
Cheers
Great vid on vintage sled Museum in Cochrane Ontario.
My first was the Massey Ferguson Ski Whizz. Spent more time fixing than riding. Lots of classic Yamaha's.
We got a little snow here and I was able to take my '18 with Hurricane 190kit out for a few rips. I am new to turboing and new to the PCV software.
To my inexperienced eyes and senses I found the sled to be running very hot and AFR readings are very lean (hence the heat). I have the...
