I was on the Yamaha demo ride in '09 and the RTX I was on shredded its belt with about 200 miles on the sled. I recently picked up a used RTX with about 500 miles on it and found belt fibers all over the place under the panels. Around a couple hundred miles so far and no issues yet.

Here are pics of the super shield on my sled. Its pretty huge but I was able to remove my wind deflectors and be toasty all day. The look isn't for everyone but form follows function.

Tonight the owner of my local dealership mentioned that there will be a lower powered model based on the Nytro. We'll see.

And here's to hoping that dealing with your insurance company won't be like getting robbed a second time.

Leave the Phazer RTX Alone Please…. !

I have a bluetooth helmet I stream music to while riding my motorcycle that works pretty well. I guess a person could try finding something like that for their sled, too.

I thought being disgruntled was just the Canadien way of life. In any case, hope is on the way to somewhere up there. Fix Power Sports in Byron, Minnesota had four of these windshields in stock and for sale on eBay. They shipped them all to a Yamaha dealership north of the border this...

I have a couple questions for those with the Super Shield. Have you tried a factory cover with it? Does it fit right? I want to get rid of the brush guards/hand deflectors. Would the Super Shield and Deflector kit provide enough wind protection without them? Thanks!

I like riding the Woebegon trail and then heading over toward Sant Rosa. Can you share what shape that area is in? I rode the Rice Creek trails today and they were pretty good until I hit the stutter bumps on trail 84 which had my speed down around 20 mph.

I went to a Yamaha demo ride event last winter and had the belt on a fx Nytro shred on me on a ~1 mile test loop. I've also seen this issue posted here by other members, too.

I'm very happy with my new RTX. I added the GT wind protection which is about all I think it needed. Its a very compliant trail ride.

Re: handling Unless they replaced a vital organ with the Phazer I'm pretty sure you can. Its only money.

With all the current incentives is anyone seeing screaming deals on Phazer GT's and RTX's in or near MN?

You're competing with Yamaha throwing massive rebates at new units, $2000 on '08's and $1500 on '09's which doesn't help. I don't know where you posted your sled, but if you already haven't you might try the classifieds here with pics, miles, options/accessories, condition and location.

The XTX is more stable. You might want to check out the Vector, too.
