If you stayed close to hm for more than a half of a second, it would be due to the fact that you were on soft snow and you have a 2" paddle track.
On hard pack, he would be in the next county before your skis came down at the launch. lol.
I lined up on a 600 once with my Phazer and I...
I think I'm only around 5,000 miles. There were two updates for the sled....reverse gear spring and clutch buttons. The new buttons give the sled an annoying resonance at around 20mph, but not a huge deal.
The sled handled great right out of the box, I honestly didn't change so much as a...
I was set to buy a Nytro a couple of years ago, but decided to go with the first year XR1200. I am sure I would have liked the Nytro, but I am 100% satisfied with the 1200.....couldn't be a much better sled.
You would have to spend at least $5,000 to get a Phazer to go a true 100mph....and I'm not even sure that would do it.
A 20mph improvement would be pretty difficult to achieve.
While I think my 4stroke Doo is a near perfect sled, let's face it....there are times when these 4strokes feel a bit heavy. An 800etech would be very tempting as you'd nearly have the best of both worlds.
You'd be at least 7,000-8,000 miles into the 2 stroke before you started to get a...
Doo sells 2X the sleds Yam does, so there should be more Doos for sale. Yam and Cat generally have by far the most non-currents available. New 09 Nytro XTX's were going for $7500 at the end of last year. When I was shopping for another sled early this winter, I was looking at new 06, 07, 08...
I do a lot of solo riding. I actually enjoy it as I can put on some big miles only stopping for gas. Did a 400+ mile loop on Friday as a matter of fact.
It's really not a big deal and probably just as safe as riding in a group. Your more careful and aware of what you're doing, and it's...
Completely different sleds with different target markets. The entry level the Sno Pro is targeted at is entry level racing. State of the art, low cost sled designed to encourage folks to get involved with racing.
Re: Umm No....
Since day one. From Yam's website:
The Phazer has made such an impact that industry insiders have said the machine is what snowmobiling needed in order to attract new people to the sport. Other manufacturers now have the challenge of building lightweight, well-performing...
The Phazer is absolutely an entry level sled. It was designed and is marketed to be an entry level sled.
It has great appeal as an entry level sled, but unfortunately is all sizzle and no steak in that department. lol.
I've put about 1200 miles on an 08 Phazer since buying it a couple of weeks ago. I bought it for my daughter and figured my wife could also ride it the few times a year we ride together. At this point I wouldn't want my wife or daughter to ride it.
This is a 20 something male sled only...
What I'm saying is if you're out riding your buddies on a Phazer, you would be out riding them 10X more and working 1/10th as hard if you were riding any other sled made in the last 10 years.
Just finished a 1000 mile trip with my wife in which I rode the Phazer. Really, the only thing that made this type of trip rough on the Phazer was the overall lack of smoothness from the engine. That thing is loud and resonates really bad from about 40-60mph.
Overall, I had no problem...
Put some USI triplethreats on today. Handling was MUCH improved though a little heavier steering than I would like at slower speeds(I'm trying to set this up for my daughter). I've got some old precisions laying around here that I may try as well. Funny that guys have said they work good on...
I guess I was referring to a few guys here that said in a drag race it wasn't much slower than 600 LC 2 strokes.
I was riding a bunch today with my brother on his 600 Doo....we're pretty much equal ability riders. In the woods, where speed didn't matter of course we were right together...
I also took my first ride on my Phazer last night. I picked up a used 08 for my daughter. I wouldn't say I was either impressed or dissapointed with it. The skis and track need to go asap, and I need to close off the tunnel. I was surprised how much ice build up there was in 25 miles of...
