Howdy neighbor! My wifes 2009, which is still carbed did 100 on the dream o meter a month ago in some good hard pack conditions. I don't think hers ever did a whole lot better so far. No studs and 7400 miles on it.

My motor is out for a starter and idler gear replacement. Mechanic talked me into changing the stator at the same time so as not to have to pull the motor out again. I am guessing it will need to be removed from the chassis. Want a deal on a used one. :dunno:

Say your starter dies on the trail like mine did. Is there a way to pull start the engine by using your belt on the front clutch pulley....or something along those lines?

Tell me more about the relay sticking. Did your starter stick out during engine running? Relay is cheap. I am sick about the whole thing. Engine popped right over and I am 100% sure the starter was not still engaged.
