If she is still having handling issues I would highly recommend a new set of skiis. I bought the SLP Powder Pros for I think ~$300 w/ carbides and it has made my 07 phazer way more fun and way safer on trail and also made it soooo much easier/fun to ride off trail. I am tight with my money but...
MikeWalters, not sure what type of ski you are running but I just put on some slp powder pros and it made a huge difference. The narrow stock skiis would always dive right through the soft snow and get really annoying, the wider skiis really help. I highly recommend the slp powder pros.
But even with better shocks it still won't be rising rate. Realistically though better shocks will probably be the direction I end up going. I am just wondering if anybody had any incite as to how difficult the install would be and if they think it would work well in the phazer chassis.
Not sure how this is going to go over on a Yamaha forum, but has anybody looked into the feasability of putting an RMotion rear skid into a Phazer. If the cost is not too astronaumic it would be good to get a rising rate skid for the Phazer. I wonder how much modification it would take to...
I have an 07 base phazer. I bought in new and was having problems with the overheat light coming on. I complained to Yamaha and they sent me all required pieces for the fan at no charge. It was a pain swapping out the wiring harness but worth it if you have some time.
Thanks everybody for the input. I think I am going to order some with the 6 inch shaper bars. One more question for UP Bushman; if I order the skis with the 35-321 mount kit, do you know if they will work with your spindle bushing kit? Thanks.
Hello Guys,
I really was hoping to try the SLP Powder Pros on my 07 Phazer but can't find any mounting kits that work for the phazer. Has anybody installed these on there Phazers? How did you mount them? How well do they work on the phazer?
Thanks
There are shims in there from the factory. I was thinking the next time I change my oil I would get more of the same shims and stack them to remove the slop.
What are the down sides to the c&a skis? Do they dart and increase steering effort? I like the " not push to the bush" feature that weapon x described but wonder why more people don't like them.
Go there all the time. Go to the top of Coburn Mountain - its a blast to go up and probably has the best view in Maine. I am leaving Friday for Millinocket area - can't wait.
I hit a tree at about 5mph (couldn't quite stop) and dinged the subframe slightly. Stock bumber didnt seem to do anything. The little ding in the sub frame is really bothering me so will be replacing it when I do my next oil change. Anybody interested in my dinged one for a good price? No...
Very easy to install since your harness already has the plug allocated for the fan. Call Yamaha directly and they will probably send a fan with hardware for free. I called them around august and they sent me a new fan plus entire main harness to accept the fan and any other hardware that was...
