was chewing up belts myself.....did not know this till the other day as i never had problems with my other 2 stroke sleds....you really need to break the belt in for the 1st 50 miles.....the extra lbs and high hp these 4 strokers put out is tough on the belts
thank you i will check into it.....yamaha was kool about it when i called them...they offered to stand behind my nytro ....they advised me to take it in and have the dealer check the alignment anyway and the blown belt and they would cover it....he did state that i could have gotten a bad...
so i was riding the nice groomed trails in the u.p. last week when i blew my 1st belt with 300 miles on it....put a new one on and it lasted 28miles and blew....the cluthes are alligned so thats not the issude....the belt is blowing from the outside and not the inside.....looks like the belts...
i put the wheel kit on the back and it seems to have taken care of the wear problem there....now im wearing fast thru the front by the curve....i have an extra wheel kit laying here but there is nothing on the rail to put wheels in front of the stock wheels....please tell me if im wrong cause im...
glad to hear im not the only one who wore through already...the only thing is the added weight....i wore through 4inch dooleys in 900 miles....gonna replace with 6inch.....bad snow condtions for me tho
