Hid lighting vs Halogen lighting

I put HIDs on my XTX last year. I will NEVER EVER own another sled without them!!! Best $94 I have spent in a long time. Took less than an hour to install. If I ride behind a buddy, they whine I am on their butt all the time, but I am 50 yards back...he he he.

hows the delay between low and high if any?

A bi-xenon HID bulb is a single bulb that relocates it's self in the headlight housing to change between high and low beam. A magnetic solenoid pulls the bulb back into the socket for high beam and releases it for lows so their is no bulb warm up delay or surge on the headlight circuit.

I dont understand the need, i've ran 80/100 in my 03 Rx since 04, still same set, I think I spent $45 @ napa.

You are referring to an RX1? There is no comparison between RX1 and Nytro. The nytro headlight is pathetic.

The Nytros & Apexes don't have enough available power to run those bulbs unfortunately.
Usually will smoke the stator.
(And risk melting the light housing.)

The HIDs have the advantage of using LESS power & putting out MORE light.
(About 4 times more light!)
The HIDs also run cooler because they are more efficient.

Most pictures don't do the HIDs justice really, it is an AMAZING difference on the trail.
The stock bulbs look like candles when compared to HIDs riding real trails with them.

The lower temp HIDs (4.3K or so) cut through the snowdust MUCH better yet.

Hope this helps! :-o
