you should get at least 70 out of it, Look for 2008 and up. and make sure all updates are done. 07 are ok, but you may need to do some updates. As far as GT vs RTX/FX models it depends on your riding style and if you ride on groomed trails or off trail

I forgot to mention, I also ride with this guy, so his recomendation of using the slim jims is because he knows the type of riding i do. about 90% groomed trail, and 10% off trail. This might not be your case, and might not be the best recomdation for you.
