Big warmup of 2023 here already???

Hit 47* here yesterday just southwest of Traverse City. Only made one pass in the groomer back on Dec. 27th and haven't had a sled out yet. Had to cancel our Feb. 18th snowdrag and it looks like I'll have to head to the U.P. if I want to get a ride in. Sad year.

Did you guys see the new Cat Catalyst?

If this test mule Catalyst that Thunder Products has in their posession is not very close to the production sled, why in the world would Arctic Cat be having them fine tune the clutching for it?

    Arctic cat dash caddy

The door has a very positve detent at closing-it's not going to open accidentally.

Plenty of room: Plus there's also the option of putting a vent in the base to allow engine heat to warm the contents:

    Arctic cat dash caddy

Yes, it's the Zumo XT which is the same size as the Tread (5.5" screen). And I just used the Garmin mount it came with and drilled the door.

3 gallons or less in your tank!!

PEFI's installation video says to discard it- it's not needed.

Did you guys see the new Cat Catalyst?

I read someone asked about weight and all the engineer would tell him was a 10% reduction.

Keep an eye on your chain tensioner idler bolt!

The front bolt had red loctite and was tough the whole way out while I can't find a bit of red on the loose rear bolt.

Keep an eye on your chain tensioner idler bolt!

Add another one to the list...2020 T-Cat Snowmageddon demo sled with 863 miles. Backside bolt 2 very easy turns from falling out.

    Oil on floor under Sidewinder

I already had the hoses disconnected when this occured. If you're going to take the time and effort to drain the hoses it would be a no-brainer to jack up the front end and get the rest. I was surprised there was this much.

    Oil on floor under Sidewinder

Not to hijack but while we're on Oil On The Floor, not sure if it's common knowledge but I discovered when draining the oil from the crankcase you need to raise the front/lower the rear to get all the oil out of the sump as the drainplug hole is not quite the lowest point in the sump whnen...

    Oil on floor under Sidewinder

My local Cat mechanic swears by The Right Stuff and claims he's never had one come back. Me? I'm going to the BOP gasket.

Barn of Parts New Driveshaft Solution

In the past on other sleds I've used the NTN Formula Blue 1" bearings with a wide collar and 2 set screws. The set screws had an encased ball tip and would indent the shaft but if you failed to loctite them they would come loose eventually and spin on the shaft with predictable results. I have...

    Still waiting on your 22's?

More than likely just another supply chain issue. And with areas of China currently under lockdown I don't see it getting any better soon.

    Hygear twisted springs

They're iQS as it's an iACT model.

That's how they came on my 2020 T-Cat.

It's the Garmin Zumo XT. The factory mount works fine.
