I agree - been out last 2 weekends in 2-3 feet of fresh - closer to 4 in spots and this thing just keeps going. Never rode a better sled in the deep powder. Biggest thing for me was learning to use the throttle on the 4 stroke - waaay different than on a 2. Everything about my sled is bone...
I just ordered a set - should be here early next week. I'll try and post pics once I get them installed. Anything has to be an improvement - I LOVE the wide boards but they do hold a ton of snow.
I picked mine up this past Tuesday. Oddly enough, my tank came a spit less than completely FULL.
As far as weights go - I can dead lift the front end of the Nytro with noticably less effort than my mod'd '99 MM. It sure is going to be a fun winter :):)
Just picked up my blue with reverse about 2 hours ago. It sure is easy on the eyes :)
My first 4 stroke and I'm already in love. If this thing goes as good as it looks, I'll have permagrin all season.
Just for clarification - I have NO IDEA about the validity of either of these weights - just passing on what I have run across. It will be interesting to see which is which but since I have no intent of ever weighing my sled, I guess I'll just ride it :):)
08Nitro - Thanks for posting that...
608.5 was from a reliable source. http://www.snowest.com/fusetalk/messageview.cfm?catid=91&threadid=327974&enterthread=y about half way down you'll see it hanging on the scale.
Either way I won't cry - looking forward to the sled either way :)
EDIT - Added pics of the 582.8 out of the...
Weight may not matter on trail sleds but I promise you, extra weight matters at 10,000 in 4 feet of fresh powder. I am more than interested in the production weight of my MTX but it will in no way change my enjoyment of the sled nor make me regret purchasing one. my .02
Yup - good info over here. Looking forward to the new blue 4 stroker.
Ahhh who am I kidding - looking forward to turning the key and actually riding instead of pulling a rope and wrenching :)
I was told mid September here in Colorado. It will kill me enough to have it sitting in the garage for 2 months and not be able to ride it - let alone 4 :) Should be a great upcomming season.
