I would bet your actuator is fried. Happened to mine. Worked fine when i put it away last spring. This winter it wouldn't work just like yours. 670 miles on sled at the time. Luckily it was covered under warranty.

Im guessing that's my issue. If i keep my thumb of the throttle when cruising to a stop it doesn't stall. This past weekend i did have it stall a couple of times when just "puttsing around". Any advice or instructions on doing the actual adjustment?

I thought Yamaha fixed this issue with a solid state relay on the Nytros. I replaced the crappy one on my Nytro with the solid state one after many starting issues. Did they go backwards on the Viper? So far i have not had any cold start issues.

Mine started doing this after the reflash. I think it is related to that.

I can say that I am not very impressed with the results of the reflash. It idles rough, seems to have severe engine breaking, and will stall if i let off the gas sometimes, even when coming into a sharp corner or pulling up to a stop sign. very annoying. Seems to be worse after it warms up...

The funny thing is that it was working the last time I rode it. So i wonder if it gets corroded sitting over the summer?

Have you checked your oil tank for cracks at the bottom where it attaches to the frame? They are known to crack and leak. I replaced 3 tanks on my old '06 Nytro and one on my wives '06 Vector.

I just heard from the dealer today. They said the reverse actuator motor is locked up. Replacing under warranty. 630 miles on it. I hope the replacement lasts a little longer than that.

Like I said, it worked fine all last year. Just noticed it this fall. Had the reverse bulletin done when i bought the sled in March. Only 670 miles on sled. It's going in for the fuel line recall, so I'll have dealer check it then

Has anyone had issues with the reverse not working. I experienced the same issue last weekend riding in fresh deep wet snow. I was thinking the same thing about the exhaust being plugged by the wet snow. Made me wish I had my Nytro rear exhaust back. Never experienced this loss of power with my Nytro.

Well, I took care of the problem this weekend. I traded it in for 2014 Viper LTX at the dealer that tried to diagnose the issue.
