Look at the breather and other hose coming off the airbox. It has caught me on both my phazer and vector by leaking oil. I freaked and it was just a hose that came off. Simple fix.
07 Phazer pushing 1000 miles and an 06 Vector Mtn SE with almost 2000 miles with Zero problems other than hifax issues. All miles are mountain miles. Full throttle most times.
Open your hood and look at the very front of the nose. There is a small box about the size of a pack of cards. Two connectors. Check them. I have had an issue with mine and it was one of the connectors was damaged and I didn't even know it. I think that is the voltage rectifier or something...
Counter steer and lean. That is all I do on the wifes. Only difference is the tip over point of the phazer. There is a fine line between carving and dumping this machine. Always adjusting the amount of counter steer throughout the carve. Definitely fun in the deep powder.
We bought an 07 for the wife when it came out. Plagued with problems is a pretty harsh statement. The only thing that was not updated for free was Open Tunnel Design and Lack of Radiator. We have never had any radiator issues with it at all so don't have any input on that. The open tunnel...
I looked at mine and the stock skis on mine are not as square as yours. Don't know if they would mount up correctly. I think I am going to drill a hole as far forward on the rail as I can and try them there. Really would like them on the skis though. Tossing ideas around before drilling...
Looked at installing these today and am going to need to think about it a little more. The 06 rails are a horrible design, even for "Universal" scratchers. As you all know they need to be as far forward as possible.
If they are put on the ski's (which is the best possible location to be...
Thanks for the help guys. I returned them since I could not find a solution and got the cable type. I am sure I will regret it but will be putting them on tomorrow.
That right there is a great idea. That is about as far forward and in front of the problem hifax spot. Obviously need a different bolt and what do you do in the up position?
Well I have an 06 Vector Mtn SE with the 162" track and 16" wide. I went to the local shop and bought a set of scratchers. Can't for the life of me figure out where to install them. Any idea of where you have had luck with them. Always something in the way wether it be the track rubbing on...
That is what I am leaning towards for next year. We do have some extreme weather hit without notice and headlights may be a good idea to keep but not necessary.
I need to mod this sled. The windshield is always getting broken when we roll it over to get it out of a trench or when it just rolls over. I was going to cut down the windshield to make it as low as possible. But this last rollover caused some damage to the plastic parts around the...
