I broke one of the rear suspension rails. I do not know when or where this happened, but I mainly ride northern WI groomed highways. I do not jump, am not a snocross wannabe. This is the first time I have EVER broken a suspension. Anyway I traded the sled in. If you do a search or remember me...
Thanks I figured out what happened, they gave me a Apex windshield. I got the 13.5" rx-1 one on now and the handguards hit a little at full turn, but its something I will live with for this weekend, suppose to be pretty cold in WI.
Anybody got a part number for the taller windshield for an 06 nytro? I bought one for a rx-1 but I will have to modify it to fit the front trim piece. Or is that what you guys have been doing? Thanks Bret
Hot exhaust is totally different than hot engine temp. Your exhaust is always gonna be hot, so either something isnt fitted right or your exhaust is bent to close to the plastic. Not a motor issue.
I go a good 250lbs with gear on. Floats are at 40-45psi. I have yet to bottom out the floats with small jumping even. The rear suspension on the other hand, is crap.
What shocks are in the rear skid of the 06 nytro? Is the front one rebuildable? Where can I find specs for the front shock?
I took my shocks out tonight. No wonder I hate this skid..... both shocks are super low on charge. The clicker was all full of air and water, and only had 75 psi in it...
I have a buddy with a 05 900 fusion, and another with 06 apex rtx. Both stock. The Apex is faster all the way around, but not that much faster. The Fusion is way faster through the woods though. Horse apiece IMO.
Where do I find a bigger sway bar for my Nytro? What companies sell them? Stock is 11mm correct?
Or if anybody has a used one the wanna part with thats cool too.
Thanks Bret
I have an LT with the wishbone in front. Good solid trailer. I have put alot of miles on it in the 7 yrs I have owned it. Very minor problems with it, I have a tendency to crank the ski hold downs to tight and broke the welds under the trailer. They were cheap spot type welds. But overall I am...
Yes, Rock River Powersports is the place that helped me out. I dont have much experince with them cuz I was always a Polaris guy before the Nytro. But they have done me right so far. The old guy salesman doesnt always know what he talking about, so deal with the owner(seems like a real nice guy)...
STAY AWAY FROM THE ENGLEHARDT CENTER IN MADISON if you plan on getting a properly setup sled. These guys are all about quanity, shoving sleds out the door as fast as they can. I bought a new 06 nytro from them. Hell they had the handlebar riser on backwards, among many other things. I had to...
P.S. I see you live in madison wi. STAY AWAY FROM ENGLEHARDT CENTER!!! Unless you plan on taking your sled to another dealer to have them set it up properly. I made this mistake!
1400 miles (i believe) and no wheel problems at all.
Hand warmers were useless, upgraded to new ones. Not as good as polaris but better than stockers anyway.
