I may be going to be buying an 06 Nytro in the next couple days. How prevalent is this wheel problem? Seems like a lot of people are having problems with only a couple hundred miles. I don't want to have a new sled parting itself out on the 1st day of riding. Is it something I should address with the dealer? The guy at the dealer also said not all of the 06's had the grip heat problem. Is this true or should I have them replace it from the get go?

I bought my 06 near the end of the season last year and within 330 miles my wheels were shot. Took it to the dealer and they were changed in about an hour. Not sure if they will replace before the wheels go bad but of you can get them to replace them, DO IT.
As for the bars i never had an issue with the warmers, but the updated bars are thiner and are fatory bent with the 45 degrees on each end, instead of the ad ons. Plus the warmers extend into the hooks, worth the thiry bucks for the upgrade.
Otherwise a great bagger and runner. Very nice sled, you will not be disappointed

1400 miles (i believe) and no wheel problems at all.
Hand warmers were useless, upgraded to new ones. Not as good as polaris but better than stockers anyway.

P.S. I see you live in madison wi. STAY AWAY FROM ENGLEHARDT CENTER!!! Unless you plan on taking your sled to another dealer to have them set it up properly. I made this mistake!

Mine were junk on my 06 Nytro after only 120 miles. All the rubber was gone on the inner wheels. Dealer put some different ones on it, they are all plastic.

Get the Handlebar upgrade done up front you won't be sorry and if they replace the wheels they will put on the '05 style wheels. Keep an eye on them they will warp after about 1000 miles. Do a search on the topic plenty of previous posts on the subject on here. Other than that the sled rocks. First sled I have had that the seating position didn't give me a sore back after all day on the sled.

210 miles and wheels and hyfax shot. Dealer replaced under warranty. Don't knpw if it made a difference but running 96 down the middle. Good luck with the new sled. :rules

I have a 2006 nytro er for sale with 1,000 miles if anyone is interested. I just put new kimpex wheels on this summer. Before that I went through 3 different sets. the yammi wheels are junk.

I have had no problem with hand warmers. I think it depends on the gloves you wear. I wear leather gloves no problem. If i wear regular gloves my hands freeze. This is the same way it was with the Rev.

Rode my nytro in 7 degree F weather this past winter with the only pair of gloves I wear all year, my hands are always warm, never did the upgrade..

Put the Kimpex wheels on, put the low snow condition wheels on ( those little ones ) take the cheap bearing out of the small wheels and go down to your bearing dealer and put in a set of good bearings. Drill open your closed window on the track ( 1'1/8 holesaw) open up your windows on the track using a razor knife put on a set of Hyper fax and you'll be good for a couple thousand
