Either one is a dramatic improvement over the Maverick so you really can't go wrong. See what you can find the best deal on. Sometimes there are lightly used powerclaws for sale in the swap meet, but you rarely ever see a CE on the used market....maybe that's your answer right there.
I have the tether and roll-over valve from OFT Racing. Its a great tether and its nice to have the roll-over valve. Plus you can then disconnect the kill switch on the bars that I seem to hit at the most inconvenient times.
Just a quick btw on this subject. If you are riding anywhere that you need an avalanche beacon, be aware that an ipod/iphone with music playing interferes with the beacon in search mode. The beacon will transmit fine, but if you are searching for your buddy be sure to turn the music off or you...
Wow, the threads on your builds were some of my favorite to read. I'm really sad to hear what happened. Glad that you will be all right after some down time.
Its amazing the things that can happen out there when we least expect it. This sounds like one of those. Get well soon and I'm...
I would have to say that looks like Eureka, the hunting rig, the telephone poles. Just a guess, but willing to bet a ty4stroke hat on it.
I think you would lose the hat on that bet.
My experience with the Maverick is that no matter what you do to it (cut it down, put on backwards etc..) it still is an inferior track. I've since had a challenger and now a powerclaw and both are so much better in every possible scenario. So in my opinion if you just like messing around with...
I extended my RTX with a 153 skid and its been great. You will probably need to move the front skid mount pts and you will definitely have to move the drop brackets back several inches.
If you are looking for acceleration on the trail or any sort of performance on set-up or hard packed snow I would recommend a track change. I went from the maverick to a challenger take-off from a cat and it was a world of difference in set-up snow. There is a reason that you can pick up a...
It can be done. I put a Nytro MTX skid that I got a hold of real cheap under my Apex RTX. Yours will be a little easier, but you will have most of the same issues I ran into. You can't just switch them back and forth since you will need 3 inch pitch drivers vice the 2.52's on the short track...
I found this video pretty helpful for sidehilling, and some other stuff as well. http://www.sledshot.com/tech_tips.php After you click on the link, use the arrows under the video screen to find the 'sidehilling' edition.
Hope this helps.
