Anyone put a stock MTN skid in their short track

I have a buddy that took his stock suspension out of his MTN Nytro and installed all aftermarket parts. So he has everything off of it including the rear mounts of the tunnel, track and full skid. My question is will it work on my short tracker with the stock drive shaft and such. I wouldn't mind switching it over to head out west but just wondering if anyone else has done this?

Thanks,

Dustin

It can be done. I put a Nytro MTX skid that I got a hold of real cheap under my Apex RTX. Yours will be a little easier, but you will have most of the same issues I ran into. You can't just switch them back and forth since you will need 3 inch pitch drivers vice the 2.52's on the short track, new mounting points further back for the drop brackets, and probably new mounting points for the front suspension arm, in addition to a tunnel extension. So yes you can do it, but it will cost a few bucks and some time to make it happen. Hope this helps.

I bought a wrecked MTX and want to actually change it to 144. Anybody looking to long track there's? Looking to sell or possible trade for ur setup.
