X3. Tekvests are great protection. Too bad about the sled but the bottom line is that the people involved are OK. You'll have to post some pics. Maybe we can help piece it back together.

Wow, the threads on your builds were some of my favorite to read. I'm really sad to hear what happened. Glad that you will be all right after some down time.
Its amazing the things that can happen out there when we least expect it. This sounds like one of those. Get well soon and I'm glad it wasn't worse.

Just to give my 2 cents to a safe ride ...
This is the hook of the original tether OFT (sorry I used a picture of Nikolai)
and this he hook I used instead of stock because it was soft and bigger and easy to be handled with gloves
When I started the last ride I connected this stupid hook to the small plastic hook that comes out of my Klim pocket
When I had the accident I hard hit the handlebars with my chest bending the handlebar and throttle lever (stucking it)
my stupid hook (crushed by the weight of my body) gone incredibly attached to the throttle cable and when I fell off the sled the Klim plastic hook tored down, freeing up the sled to run away at full speed with theter chord perfectly in place hooked to the throttle cable (+ - like the above picture).
In a few minutes of relax with the family I made a series of incredible lightness (individually insignificant but very dangerous when combined in proper sequence) that have resulted in enormous damage and an even greater risk to the health
With a proper linkage of the tether, now I'd be looking for a new Barkbuster and not for a new sled [/img]

Your wellness is of most concern.
You are injured but will recover and move on. That is all that matters. (especially for your wife, your beautiful child, and the new one on the way!)
Your passion will lead you to a new and better project when positive circumstances prevail.
God be with you, and OFT Racing is thinking of you.
