Hey Guys,
I have never ridden a Phazer and am buying one very soon. I can only go by the yamaha promotional DVD I have, so to hear from actual owners would help me out quite a bit. I do ditch riding and play in deep drifts and do alot of jumping..With an exhaust, clutch kit, re gearing and big lug track on an FX, how will its performance be to 50 mph? Would it hang with or beat 600 2strokes? Would it be embarrased by 440 race sleds? I have heard Phazers have "700 CC 2stroke like low end" and I have also heard they have "comparable power to a 550 fan", you hear 80 HP doesn't matter because of how torquey the 500 will be, yet reports have it only at 30 ish foot pounds.....So REAL world owners could really help me out! Thanks!! :yam:

I have the Phazer Mountain Lite model and that sucker pulls hard. I race with my buddy and he has a RX1 (03) and I get a sled length on him till about 60. I think with a good hook up you may run with the 600 till 50, with the mods you will smoke em, IMO. I have a 144x2 track and mountain gearing, not so sure about 121's

As others have mentioned above, I find it quite good 0-50. This past weekend I was out with my friend who has a 2006 F6EFI and we had a number of drag races. They are basically dead even to about 55-60 mph then the F6 would start to pull away. Sometimes the phazer would have a slight edge and then F6 would reel you in but not that quickly. At higher speeds the F6 is definitely quicker, but on the trail and short straightaways there is nothing between them. The phazer also used a lot less fuel doing it.

really, i would figure the f6 would kill it, that's great news

0 to 50 mph its with any sled, being a Fuel Injection and light sled its very reponsive...... I can hang with the 600 Sdi or the F-6 to 60 mph
