I have an '03 RX1 mountain, and have a pair of yamaha ice scratchers that mount under the running board. I had them sent to me from a dealer, but no install info, just the bolts/rivets and scratchers. I know it's a basic thing, just wonder where they want them placed under the boards and the hangers placed. Anyone with any info or pics to share would be greatly appreciated.
What kind of scratchers are they? Name brand?

Not sure of any brand, they have a Yamaha part sticker on them, but probably just the dealers inventory control. The spring is about say 18" long, mounted in an aluminum bracket (2 bolts through bracket, through footboard and small backing plate on top), and have a small 1/2" wide by about 4" long bracket for the spring to retract and clip into (it pop rivets to the tunnel side).
You had better post some pictures! Did you ask the dealer to send the instructions?

Dealer was 75 miles away, so we hurried to make the bus to ship them down. They're just your basic scratchers that mount under the footboard, instead of the rail mount type, nothing complicated, other then where is the best place to mount them for effect etc. I can call them in the morning, but thought someone here surely has mounted them on an RX1.
