Yes I believe my torsion springs are week. Not sure why with only 1109 kms on sled and I never let sled sit when stored under its own weight. I posted recently here under topic “ bottoming out”. I tried to upload my photos this morning before driving home but they needed to be resized and my girlfriend was waiting in the truck to leave lol.I don’t think I would hit them if I bottomed that hard. Sounds like if you’re bottoming that bad you need different torsion spring in back.
Will try now.

Especially on those photos that were uploaded. The track to hit, the sled would not only have to bottom out further than I have seen, it would have to move over quite a bit.

Comparing your left and my left tip, looks like yours might be inside about 1/3 of the carbide tip, mine looks like 1/2 if it is inside. My right side looks like maybe 1/4 of it stick inside. I could try and bend the bracket ever so slightly to bring it out a bit. With me alone on the sled I doubt it would touch unless I hit one hell of a jump.Pics

Yea I think it’s a bottom out issue. Yours look correct. They look same orientation as mine.

I bent the tab out a bit. Gained a bit. Wish I could have mounted the mounts about 1/4” lower but wasn’t able to as the holes would have been right on the edge of the aluminum plate under there.

Ran mine for the first time last weekend. 1" of rain was rough on the trails. They worked great! The only thing I noticed was the tip had more wear than I expected for the 150ish miles I put on.

How do you store them when not in use? I would like to see a picture of them "up."The BRP scratchers are nice, but I’m still keeping it simple with SnowThrower scratchers on my skis. One bolt installation, reverse friendly, and only $59 for a pair on eBay.

ONLY complaint I have is the tips wear pretty fast. 40 bucks a set. Not terrible but they should wear a little better.Ran mine for the first time last weekend. 1" of rain was rough on the trails. I don’t see any need to ever lock them up off the ground. How do you store them when not in use? I would like to see a picture of them "up."

???? Why would you have them down and wear the tips if the trail has enough snow for cooling?I don’t see any need to ever lock them up off the ground.
