I know this question has been asked before but couldn't find it in past posts...so my apologies for asking 'again'.
I have an '03 RX-1 with a stock 1" track and am wondering if I can safely put on a 1.25" with 144 1.325" studs? I read that on the RX-1 you need a track that is fully clipped with all windows open, is that true?
Thanks for you help in advance.

You can safely install the track & studs you have mentioned. The main reason to go to extrovert drivers is to run your track looser and to stop any ratcheting. If you run your track on the tight side ratcheting will not be a problem.

Thanks for your reply. So if I use the stock drivers then I will need a fully clipped track with all the windows open or does it matter?

With the stock drivers you don't need a fully clipped track. You can use one if you like. You only need a track with open windows if you are going to use extroverts as they will drive the track by protruding through the open windows of the track.
