Hi,
Just purchased my first Yamaha (04'rx1-3600 miles) and I'm going through it to get it ready for the fluffy stuff. I need a new track and I'm wondering what size lugs came with it originally and what size I can put on it. I don't want to run any studs. I know the Ripsaw tracks seem popular and I'm wondering if they're 1.25 or 1.5 lugs. Are they're any problems with running 1.5" or where these factory height. I'm a trail rider is all and no really deep snow but on occassion it would be nice to hit some deeper stuff if I can find it.....
Pro's cons is what I'm looking for....
Stock track was 1.25 ripsaw. Ripsaws do come in 1.5 lug height. If you trail ride i would stick with the stock lug height. There are many other tracks to choose from . Do a search and youll find lots of opinions on different tracks.
Thanks, I heard someone say if your running in less ideal snow conditions it's better to stick with the lower lug height as it keeps the track closer to the snow.....plus I like keeping everything as stock as possible.
Think it's the Ripsaw....and all new bearings as long as I'm at it.
