anyone else come off a 05 mach to a gt? mach for sale, gt with my name on it. i love the power and top end of the mach, but the horse ^%&* shocks and updates that were no good have me ready to jump ship. i have been riding doo since 78 and am ready for a change. BRP customer service sucks. any input would be appreciated.

I jumped from a 03 REV 800 and have not looked back. It's an awesome sled.

There is no doubt the Apex will out run every sled out there to a 1000, and most Mach Z guys will pull out the win at 2000 feet... Who cares... Bottom line is that we all have a good time.. Win or lose, on a sled is better than in the office...

I ditched an 05 mach z for a warrior last year, best thing i ever did! BRP left their customers and dealers hanging with a product that hadn't been fully R&D'd. On top of it all, they didn't attempt to fix the problems for customers til this year. They are still screwing around!..They lost alot of loyal BRP customers. studdog.

new attak is in the barn, 60 miles last night. not at all dissapointed with the power. ride is much better than mach, just need to get some miles on to loosen it up before clutching. nervous to make the change, happy so far.

Funny this post came up.
I have an 06 mach z and had an 05 as well. Both have rev X suspension installed for more travel.
My father bought an apex gt this year and I had the chance to swap back and fourth at various trail conditions this weekend on a 200 mile ride. I really like the apex but...I hate the seat thats about the only thing stopping me as well from jumping ship next year. The yamaha is alot more plush to ride and smooth as silk which is nice. Also the different power of the 4 stroke you would sware there is 200 hp under the hood in the trails holy crap does this thing charge for the corners!
Onto the seat deal if they could taper is slightly back from about the center it would be nice going from the mach z I feel like its alway trying to crowd me to the tank Im looking into having it trimmed a bit to make it a little tapered to keep you back on the sled other then that. The over heating was a bit annoying but we ordered a rear heat exchanger from yamaha. I really like the sled and if the supercharger goes well we ordered from MPI I will be on one next year forsure!
Very nice sled great fit and finish. Comparison to the mach if you didn't know how to clutch the mach the apex would beat it no problem. We ran our apex in 2000' on my stalker gun this weekend at 115 my stock mach z only turned 114 so some doo guys might be disssappointed! A little clutching to the mach brought it up to 121 which is fairly respectable for a trail sled.
All in all I like both but if they apex works well I maybe on one next year as well!

I have both an 05 Mach and an 06 GT. I put 600 miles on my GT and I love that sled. Never overheated and my idlers are fine. Not crazy about the seat or the handwarmers but other than that its a great sled. Last weekend I took my Mach out after studding it and installing a Cudney clutch kit. The Mach is much heavier to streer but the power is incredible and very addictive. I raced both sleds earlier this year and the Apex got the hole shot and stayed ahead until about 600 feet. With the clutch kit it and studs the Mach is now a little quicker. They are both great sleds but my favorite is the Apex.
