Len Todd,
I'll check with the dealers mechanic that ordered everything. He is pretty thorough. If its time, its time.
Might as well do it all at once.
Thanks for the info!

Wilson said:I did my exhaust donuts today . It is not that hard it will be a lot easier next time . There is no need to loosen the muffler ,just remove the two 5mm allen keybolts holding the front exhaust pipe and it will slide back .
I recommend replacing the exhaust clamps as well as they wear from vibration and are loose ,I didn't have new ones so I ground off the spacers to make them tighter .My opinion of the gaskets and clamps is that they stink . The gaskets are to soft that is why they wear out so fast .
I think this is another every 7000k job along with the bushings in the front suspension . Hondo if you have not done yours yet they are likely worn right out . I would like to thank you for your help .
i am in the process of replacing mine. I removed the collars (clamps) and realised that the seals are completely gone !!! I also notice that the clamps were rotate and touch the frame enought to do a little groove!
I am ready to install the new one, but i dont see how i can insert them without loosen the rear muffler ?? Is the 2 5mm allens you refer to are the ones under the gaz tank that support the 3 to 1 pipe?? i removed them but all seems pretty tight ....i'll be really happy to avoid to dissasemble the rear muffler....
Thanks in advance
Alain
Salut from Germany Towing...
There is a rubber grommet in the middle of the tunnel.... which give you access to the middle splice clamp. Just loosen the clamp then slip the front exaust line into the rear part so that it gives you enought clearance to do your work.

from Germany 8) Woowww !!! internet has no limit
I just finisned the job tonight. I loosen all the clamps and slide back the front line but had not enought space to put back the new gaskets. The pipes backed not far enought.. I loosen the rear muffler and back it a little more but i did nothing for the front pipes. It seems to stop in the front braket. I finally removed the 6 inches manifold pipe from the motor to be able to install the new gaskets....
Just did a little test run... what a nice and sweet sound ....8) very big difference. And the little vibration sound i had between 5-6000rpm is disappeared... pretty big job but it worked fine
Bye
Alain
I was with Wilson when he did his. Do not touch the rear muffler it just slides back and forth inside the pipe. You will find two rubber plugs remove them. There are actually three don't worry about the one furthest to the back. Under the two plugs loosen the bolts. (I think it was a 5mm hex) You don't have to remove them just loosen them there is a slot under the screws that will allow the pipes to move back. Take a bar or large screw driver and pry up by where the gaskets go. The pipes will move back. Be careful when you put on the new exhaust donuts. They are softer than you thing. We damaged one and had to run out and buy a new one. You do not have to take the header off the motor. Good luck..

Yes Smokey, i removed the screws on the front and center clamp , the front pipe slide in the rear but not enought. I had only the half space i need to install this soft material new gasket. I first think that moving back the rear pipe had give me more space but the front pipe did not slide farther... i had work around two hours to try to get enougt space but it was impossible in may case... It is in the braket of the front pipe that it blocked (don't know why) Since it was easier to remove the manifold pipes than the whole rear skid (to see what blocking the front pipe movement), i removed the three of them from the motor and be able to reinstall my new gaskets.
Thanks to all that take time to help me
Alain
