Having a issue if my rs venture 05. Tors system. Tors plugged in. Tors kick on with code 84 flashing all the time. I adjusted the cable. And still. So I looped the system. And it still does it. Also thumb and hand warmers not displaying on screen and fuel guage reads empty all the time. Flashing. Any suggestion. Am I looking at something more
Major?

Considering multiple symptoms (ie, tors by-pass not working, warmers not displaying, fuel gauge incorrect) , could be related to just the grounding blocks located throughout the wiring harness.

That'd what I was thinking. Wiring related. Wpuld any one have the wiring diagram or where to look for the ground blocks. I notice i have a bit of corrosion in my fuse box.

they look like wiring harness plugs that are not plugged into anything. should be one by chain case and i know there is one or 2 on left side by clutches from doing apex and rx over the years.

So here's some wiring by the fuse box. Check this out. Cpuld this be my problem of my dash not displaying my hand thumb warmer and flashy fuel gauge and kicking on tors wheb by pass or plugged in. So the fella before me had someone working on it obviously. And he tampered with the wiring. Ok so if you see my pictures. You will notice. The giy out a fuse link connected to those brown wires in the harness. Now he has 2 small wires. One grounded to frame. Other positive wire connected to that fuse. Leading to a small red bulb? But now if you see other pictures. I followed where the wire goes from thay fuse link the guy put in. It goes to the left foot side panel. And looped wire to a orange/ black? Im no good in wiring. Im trying to chase my issue. I hope some one can help me out.

I would keep focused on the mechanical side. Make sure your carb throttles are all working nice and smooth. The return springs can get pretty crappy. Lube your throttle cable too.

I think im having wiring issues see reply above i posted 10
Min ago. I'm new to 4 stroke world. Bought this cheap. And trying to figure out the bugs out of her. I came from the 2 stroke sxr mountain max srx triple side

I'd be getting the schematic and tracing the wiring as that looks like some janky electrical work. Because you have multiple electrical issues, you should concentrate on that first. Looks like someone was trying to bypass something. No clue why an LED would be put there. o_O

To get a copy of the service manual, you just have to become a VIP member and ask one of the mods for it.

Would any one have the wiring diagram or where to look for the ground blocks.
Here's a post I created that showed where I found all the ground blocks on my Apex.

As for your wiring hodgepodge, I wonder if the previous owner had Rock's Yamaheaters and before selling, removed it and then did a piss poor job of wiring it back together. :dunno:

Yea I have no idea man. The guy said his"backyars mechanic" needed a rebuilt on the motor. And therea nothing wrong with the engine lol. The guy didnt know anything mechanic wise. He tried to get him for money i guess. But yea im trying to figure out why is this fuse link looping to the right left foot panel to orange /black wire.

I also opened the cap of one of the ground blocks just by the ignition key. And i checked for continuity. I have none. ?

All the way to the battery post? That's likely your problem. Just be sure it is a ground block as all the wires going into it should be black. Maybe try running a wire from the battery - to it and see if stuff start working again.

FYI: I believe people used to put LED's in the wiring so they could tell it the starter solenoid ever stuck on. I was going to do it at one point but never got round to it.

Ya no continuity what so ever. I have to reput the air box and ground that block to bat or frame. And try it.

Ah yea?
