On hard packed groomed trails my sled darts all over the place sometimes it's kinda scary because it's so unpredictable on what it's going to do . Is there any way to fix this ? Changing skis ? Adjustment anywhere ?

Woodys Doolly Carbides

Toe out skis 1/8" and bergstrom triples with shims will fix it also.

doolys take care of darting but will push in corners. Snowtrackers are what I suggest. I sell both. Have some used doolies here too.

X 2, hands down the best there is for darting/tracking without push! Set toe to 0 and enjoy the most settled sled you have ever ridden!

Also make sure you don't have too much ski pressure and make sure there isn't too much play in the front end. The a arm bushings wear out, also there are ball joints and steering stem bushings. A good starting point is set the ski shock preload so that the a arms are parallel to the ground. Ski alignment is also important and then if all is good then you can play with limiter strap on the front arm in the rear suspension. If you lengthen it, it will help take some weight off the skis. The trick is getting the right amount of ski pressure so the sled turns good, but isn't so light in the front it gets tippy and pushes through the corners. Only make one adjustment at a time so you know what did what. Also shimming the skis helps too. Good luck getting the darting to go away.

i have a 2005 rx i put jagged edge runners and easy steers on skies then use a quarter inch rubber shim under back of ski rubber fixed it i can drive one hand

Ryan, I just replaced all front end bushings and tie rod ends in an '04 Warrior. You wouldn't believe how much A-arm slop and handlebar wiggle is now gone!

At least check all these things, in addition to all the other advice mentioned above! ;)!

Last pair I bought were $220 ish. They will generally last about as long as two set's of others and will out perform anything else out there in my opinion. As mentioned above, with anything all wear points should be tight for best results!

Lots of good suggestions here. First thing for sure is to set toe out and shim. Decent chance this will make a dramatic difference. I don't use anything special for carbide and I have almost 0 darting. I do not have stock skis though.

Ok what part do you shim and what kind of skis do you have ?

Doolies on all three of my sleds, drives like on rails. Simplest fix out there!

Shimming loads the rear of the ski lifting the front. It also causes harder steering or at least it has on every one I have ridden.
