05 seat on a 03

Those of you who have seen the 05 RX shorty.
Will the 05 seat fit on the 03 shorty. Also since the 05 seat is taller, is there any height changes to the steering etc.

I believe it will fit and I think that the handle bars are 2" higher on the 05.

So in order to update your seat to a 05 one would need a 05 seat, taller handle bars and I guess longer cables.

Just put in a 2" bar riser.

I think with a 2" bar riser you would still need longer cables to complete the job maybe a longer bar cover too..

If your shorty has similar tolerances to the mountains, 2"" is doable with a ABR aka pivot riser rotated forward a bit. I have a Sportech 2" ABR with stock cables with my bars straight up and down. I have plenty of slack for the cable with no mods to it.

How much is the Mountain cable? I know that would solve the problem.
