Hey guys I am a newer 4 stroke owner. I have a 05 venture rs and I need to do an oil change. Do I need to use Yamalube? I see guys just use mobile 1 european full synthetic and it’s seems to be a bit cheaper. Also what is a good filter to use and the capacity of the oil. And when refilling the oil do I just put it all in the tank or does some of it need to go into the crank case?

The Yamaha filter is a good choice, 5DM-13440-00 or cross reference it to other filters. As far as oil goes, any quality 0W30 or 0W40, Mobil 1 is a good choice. The operating manual says to just add oil to the tank. 3 litres or 3.2 US quarts with filter replacement.

Full synthetic I’m guessing?
