I currently have the 07 handlebars on my 06 Apex. I want to make the change over to the 06 bars with the 07 wiring harness. Cant' deal with cold hands any longer. Unfortunately I sold my 06 bars thinking the 07 bars were going to be the fix. Wrong. Does anybody know if they are available through Yamaha. Or if anyone has a set for sale, let me know. What is the price of a set of handlebars?

I dont think you can BUY them from yammie....the bars you would get would be the 07 bars....

you gotta call around dealers and ask them for take off bars from all the 07 upgrades....

good luck
dan

The 06 bars have two piece grips and hooks. The 07 bars have a 1 piece grip that has a heating element under the grip. The 06 bars have heated grips.

Isn't the bend in the bars gone on the 07 because they put on shorter risers? I want a set to because maybe my handgaurds wouldn't hit the shield on my 06 RTX

Have you tried the low expansion foam in the handle bars yet? Try this first to see if it works for you...it will take no more than 5 minutes and cost you like $5. I have the 07 bars on the 06 Apex as well and didnt really notice any more "heat" after the 07's were installed. But I tell you what...I filled the bars with low expansion foam and I actually felt "heat" pooring into my hands--not great but better. I rode a couple of nights in the low 20's/teens and actually had to turn down the hand warmers (which was a first). Someone correct me on the wordage but the stuff used is low expansion window foam...right? If you do a search on the forum you should be able to find it.

Why don't u just rewire the ones that u have in parallel. That means that they both get the same power supply and then to ground.

I have a set of 06 bars, what are they worth. Maxdlx

07 Harness

I have an 06 Apex with 06 bars; If I were to go to the dealer, what harness would I order for warmers bars?
