What is proper procedure for installing rear skid in an 06 apex gt?
I am having problems :o| with getting the ft pivot arm to line up with the mounting holes, I ruined a set of bushings trying, now I have a new set & would like some input before I attempt to install again.

Thanks, Mike

i couldnt get my fronts within 2" of the holes. i removed one of the rear bolts, heard a thud and everything lined up. dont know what happened, but try removing a rear bolt.

It has been a little while since I have taken mine out, but I do know I found it easier to bolt the front arms on before the rears. It seems it was about impossible to do the fronts last. Also undo the limiter strap it will give you more play in the suspension. It should be very simple, it is just a matter of figuring it out for the first time. Good luck!

If your skid is completely out, than start by installing the front torque arm in first, one side than the other, and have your transfer rod unbolted it makes aligning the rear two holes much easier.

Thanks, I got it, I removed the transfer rod rear bolt, that made it easier, still a pain the first time you do it, not the same as the Pro-Action in the srx.

Skid install/bushings

Doesn't take much to damage the edges of the bushings in removing or installing the skid. The price of them isn't cheap either.

Any aftermarket bushings available for the mono skid yet?

Is there a big advantage of having these plastic bushings vs. just a shaft through the tubes like the other manufacturers?
