ok so I just bought a new 136" track and extension kit for my 06 apex which stock had the 121" track once I had it tore down I noticed the shock was wearing at the one end where the bolt goes through and I have found it is from the track. After doing some research I see ulmerr racing makes a wear eliminator kit for the 121" track. So I am upgrading to the 136" cobra track and am wondering if I will still need this wear kit for the longer track????? I will not be studding the 136" at this time. The 121" was studded
Thanks

Yes you should put the wear eliminator on. I would just do it and be done with it unless you aren't going to stud the 136 track.

You will probably still need the rub eliminator kit as the Attak upper track support wheel is in a separate shaft further back than the Apex's which is mounted on the rear suspension arm. That is unless you are installing the new cross shaft and mounting it in the proper location.

This sled is the apex RTX not the attack. And I got the shock wear protector from pioneer motorsports for about$25

I realize that I was just explaining the difference and unless you change it to the same style as the Attak you will need the rub eliminator.

Typically the RTX skids have wear on the bottom of the front skid shock. The mono shocks wear on the back eyelet of the shock.

Where did you experience the wear?

We have roller kits for both of these applications and sell them for $25.

Looking at his avatar info he has an 06 RTX. This sled would have a mono from the factory.
I like the idea of using a rear tunnel wheel setup like the Attak has. Not sure if it would work on a extension kit tho.

Yes it's an 06 rtx and the shock is wearing on the eyelet. I also added the 4th wheel kit

4th wheel kit is good for when you are studded but won't help the track rub. Get a track rub eliminator kit or ask Hibshman25 for an Attak setup.
