06 Attak antifreeze drip

I have the dreaded drip in the coolers along the running boards. BOTH sides are dripping where the rear skid bolts to the tunnel. I'm not sure if I am ready to tackle that project yet.

After welding one I would seriously consider finding used ones instead. The material is so thin there that once it was welded and ground flush I kept finding pin holes and had to take it back to the welder 3 times. On the last try he left it a little proud so I had to take about .020" off the mounting bracket. Another tip is don't put too much pressure in them to do a leak test. Anything over 20 p.s.i. and you risk distorting the chamber....don't ask how I know that.

X2, just welded one up for a guy don't know if I would trust it.

I had both of mine welded and one of them twice. Made a tunnel brace that runs at a 45 deg angle out to the outside of the cooler at the rear suspension mount and now no flex and no more cracks. Not the prettiest thing but it works.

I am starting to look around for a set of used ones. New ones are almost $400 :(

I forgot to mention that I also put a .010" shim under the skid mounting plate to raise it off the surface of the heat exchanger a little, and put epoxy putty over the patch when I installed the mount. Fingers crossed!
