Hi everyone, I have been reading this forum for a while now, but just joined finally. I have a 2006 Nytro I've had for 3 years now. I've had the usual frustrations with suspension setup, etc. I've had my rearmost track shock rebuilt/revalved twice and put the heavier Yamaha springs in. Well I somehow bent/broke the shaft on this shock. I have been told parts are not available on these shocks. So, before I spend $400+ on a stock replacement, does anyone out there know if a better replacement exists? I really like the sled despite the problems with suspension, but this may be the last straw..... Thanks for your help!

What I Did
jbos3331,
I got frustrated with my Yamaha stock suspension (mono) this year. The last straw was the transfer rod let go and took out my track.
What I did was I found a perfect Fast M-10 for $600, then bought a Yamaha mount kit from Fast for $200. The pros on the M-10: it rides the small and medium bumps much better, it rides the big stuff as good or better than the mono, it is very adjustable in the garage or on the trail and it does not eat hyfax.
The only con I see right now is that it does not provide the weight transfer for hard launches like the mono.
There is very good documentation on mounting the M-10 and the staff at Fast has been very helpful.
Good luck on whatever you choose to do.

The Ohlins rear shock replacement for the ProActive Vector should bolt right in to your Nytro skid.

Re: What I Did
What is the length of your two white colored transfer blocks? When I first installed my used m10 FAST told me to shorten mine for better transfer. When I ordered new ones last year, I think FAST supplied them to the correct length.
