Hi guys,
I had my first service done on my Attak GT and took them Yamalube oil. I took them three quarts and they gave me back about 2/3 of a quart. So they used 2 1/3 quarts for an oil change. I checked the oil and it looks new and is right on the high line. My question is do you think they just sucked the oil out of the tank and didnt drain from the bottom of the sled? Everyone else on here uses more oil for a change than the dealer did but yet it still looks new and shows full. They did change the filter but I dont understand why they used so little oil. The manual does state to use 2.1 quarts and then start and adjust accordingly. I guess this is what they did. Any ideas?
First service - they billed me for 1.5 hours of labor. Not sure they were as thorough as some dealers as I thought a first service was a 3 hour procedure.
Thanks!
Mark

Doesn't seem right to me. I personally changed my oil and filter, draining both the bottom of the engine and the oil tank. When I filled the system it took close to 3 1/2 bottles of oil. I wouldn't worry too much about it... now you know better for the next time. I don't have much faith in dealers, just my opinion.
