What idler wheels are you guys replacing your stock ones with? i read some people are using skidoo wheels. What are you using and do you have part numbers?

I run Yamaha 04 RX-1 idler wheels.
The part number is: 8CR-47310-10-00
These are just as easy to install as Skidoo wheels, are the same diameter as stock (so no extra loading to the rails), and are probably the longest lasting wheels available.
I've only ever seen one fail and that was after over 6000 miles (of course the replaceable bearings still need to be changed when they go - just like any other Skidoo, Polaris, etc. wheel).

Yes, those wheels work well too (not quite as good as wheels with the 6205 bearing - but they are a bolt in installation using the stock 6005 bearing).

I've used that wheel on the inside and found they went out of round. Just keep an eye on them.

While I didn't opt for the Yammy spoked wheels for the inner position, I did install the Kimpex pro idlers and thinking that since they are a thicker wheel (and hopefully tougher), they suffered the same fate and went out of round as well.
It seems that these inner wheels suffer a great deal of stress and heat in comparison to the rest of the idlers.
Next year, when I replace them again, I'm opting for a slightly smaller set, as well as a solid wheel (maybe aluminum), if possible.

You don't really need to search for a fix. The group I ride with has put 10's of 1000's of miles on monoshock skids using the Yamaha 04 RX-1 wheel in this position and they work. No warpage, no delamination, no early bearing failures, not a single one. The earliest wheel we've seen starting to go was after 4000 miles. All of the rest are still going strong. Machine the mount by 0.060" (do a search), bolt them on and forget about them. Problem solved.

I've already had the mounts machined to accept the larger width...the ones I have on now will do me for the rest of the season..
