07 Attak over heats

There are guys here that said they tried diluteing anti-freeze,studs,etc. and found they still had to install the rear exchanger..
there are some goodposts here from last year on this

I'm not fooling around and are installing one..

why are the 07' having this problem so bad if there the same as the 06'

Why aren't the Dealers and Mechanics taking care of this during there PDI.that's what they get paid for!That's why I skip the PDI sign off on the liability form so the dealer and the manufacturer make zero on PDI if there not going to do the job right theres no sence in paying them!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got my rear exchanger back in the spring and didn't get to do it then.

Now I forgot the process in installing it.

Rear heat exchanger

I only saw the warning light once during prime time last year but in April when there was very little snow dust it became more of an issue. I still was able to run by throwing snow on the running boards & one time it was to be expected. Had a cousin with a 800 Triple Grand Touring trying to go by me ( he couldn't keep up no matter how hard he tried) & it being late in the season with no snow dust & running at over 100 mph for 10 minutes I wasn't suprised. Once agin added snw to running boards & was A-OK !!! However the plan is to add the rear exchanger this season so that it is no longer an issue at all. Has anyone had any problems adding it to a studded attak? Thanks.

When you install the rear exchanger, you have to cut about 6 1/2 inches off the tunnel protectors to get the exchanger in there. Those with studded tracks say that you have to put some protection back in there or you will hit the exchanger. Do a search and you will find a good example, with pictures, of the protectors reinstalled.
